3G at work: New corona regulation is available

What is interesting for winter tourism is that après-ski can only be celebrated vaccinated, recovered or PCR-tested. On-site tests are also possible in other leisure facilities. In addition to 3G, an FFP2 mask must also be put on in cable cars.

Central to the regulation, however, is the requirement to apply 3G in the workplace from November. There is still a transition period until the middle of the month, during which you can alternatively put on an FFP2 mask. But then practically everyone has to be tested, vaccinated during the past 360 days or recovered in the last six months.

Mask requirement in the health sector

Because the wording in the regulation reads: “Employees, owners and operators are only allowed to enter workplaces where physical contact with other people cannot be ruled out if they have a 3G certificate. Contacts within the meaning of the first sentence do not include a maximum of two physical contacts per day that take place outdoors and each do not last longer than 15 minutes.”

As a result, there is no need to wear a mask at most business premises. The only exceptions are care facilities and hospitals where mouth and nose protection must be worn in addition to 3G.

3 G at the workplace: "The organization will be a great challenge"

The rules in gastronomy are relatively loosely designed. 2.5 G only applies in companies “in which an increased mix and interaction of customers is to be expected, such as discos, clubs, après-ski bars and dance halls in particular”. This means that a PCR test is only necessary in bars of this type if you have not been vaccinated or have recovered.

The 3G sectors that go from the hotel to the “normal” Gastronomy to events, the possibility of submitting an antigen test (now a maximum of 24 hours old) or an antibody finding from the past three months. Also (not exactly reliable) self-tests, “exceptionally” also carried out on site, met the 3G standard.

No fences necessary at Christmas markets

As for Christmas markets and the like, fencing is no longer necessary. Alternatively, the 3G verification that has been carried out can also be displayed with ribbons or the like.

It should be noted that a number of rules could be tightened as soon as the number of intensive care patients increases. For example, if there are 300 or more patients, the self-tests would generally no longer be recognized. From 400 onwards, an antigen test would also no longer be accepted in the 3G areas.

It is also made clear that a test pass, which is usually used in schools, is valid from Friday to Sunday at least – that is, even if the last test took place on Wednesday, as usual.
