AfD boss Tino Chrupalla went to the Russian embassy on May 9 with a gift. The internal chat of the AfD parliamentary group shows the reaction of his colleagues. “Friend and foe alike,” writes his deputy, would welcome Chrupalla’s resignation
Emotions run high right from the start. “I’m going to eat!!!!”, Jörg Schneider typed in the Whatsapp group of the AfD parliamentary group. “I’m starting to wonder if I’m still in the right place here.” The AfD MP from Gelsenkirchen is outraged. And he also posts the reason.
Schneider posts an article from the “Berliner Zeitung” about the reception at the Russian embassy in the chat group. On May 9th, when Russia celebrated the victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany in World War II, not only ex-Chancellor Gerhard Schröder and his wife appeared at the Russian representation. The AfD party and faction leader Tino Chrupalla is also present, as is the AfD honorary chairman Alexander Gauland.
