Red-green-red in Bremen is apparently facing a new edition: the Greens are the last partner to give the go-ahead for coalition negotiations.
The Bremen Greens have spoken out in favor of starting coalition negotiations with the SPD and the left. A corresponding decision was made in Bremen at a state party conference with no dissenting votes and two abstentions. This was announced by a spokeswoman for the party.
The left had already decided to start talks at an extraordinary state party conference.
The coalition negotiations are to begin on Tuesday, as the SPD announced. A continuation of the red-green-red government alliance in the smallest federal state is therefore very likely. The SPD had decided against coalition talks with the CDU and for cooperation in the previous form.
