According to media reports, former US Vice President Mike Pence will enter the race for the 2024 presidential election next week. The US broadcaster NBC and the news channel CNN unanimously reported on Wednesday that the former deputy of ex-President Donald Trump would announce his candidacy for the Conservative Party’s presidential candidacy next Wednesday. The starting signal is therefore planned in the state of Iowa, in which the Republican primaries are to begin at the beginning of next year.
Pence has been considering a presidential bid for some time. Polls on the Republican field of candidates currently see the 63-year-old former governor of the state of Indiana in third place, a long way behind Trump and Florida governor Ron DeSantis.
