The Greens are dissatisfied with the state of the coalition talks with the SPD and FDP. “We are currently seeing too little progress in terms of the substance of the content,” said Federal Managing Director Michael Kellner of the German Press Agency.
The SPD, Greens and FDP have been negotiating for four weeks about the formation of a joint federal government. The aim is to form a government in the week from December 6th to 10th. It was expected that the interviewees would publish a detailed schedule this week. The Greens did not want that in view of the halting talks.
The negotiators have agreed not to disclose, and so far only a few details have emerged from the talks. Fundamental differences, however, have to be bridged in a number of policy areas, such as finance, climate and migration policy.
