Haimbuchner sees regulation “extremely critical”

“The fight against the corona pandemic will succeed if everyone is ready to help,” said Governor Thomas Stelzer (VP) yesterday. The question of how far the coalition partner FP is helping, of all things, arises in view of a few posts. For example, the FP member of the state parliament, Peter Handlos, posted “2.5G is a planting of unvaccinated people” when it became known that this is exactly what Upper Austria will prescribe. He writes: “2.5G is nonsense squared.” When asked about this, Stelzer emphasized that he cares about the health of the population, not about comments on social media: “The regulation of 2.5G is a measure of the state government and is also supported by the state government.”

However, the coalition partner is not really pleased with the new regulation. In a written statement, Deputy Governor Manfred Haimbuchner (FP) writes that he sees the 2.5G rule in gastronomy and other areas as “extremely critical” and also wants to take a look at the matter from a legal point of view.

In view of the statements against the measures on the part of the FP and the criticism of Stelzer himself of the federal government, the question arises as to whether “Stelzer has enough authority in his coalition and in his VP to successfully fight the pandemic,” responded SP-Landesrtin Birgit Gerstorfer on the discussion. In general, all of this is part of the previous corona management, criticizes Gerstorfer: “Everything is too late and too little.”
