Russian war of aggression: Odessa under fire for third straight night

The port city of Odessa is an important transhipment point for grain in Ukraine. Moscow’s armed forces are now repeatedly attacking the Black Sea region.

Southern Ukraine’s Odessa region has come under shelling for the third night in a row. According to local media reports, explosions were heard again near the port of Odessa on Thursday night. The air defense was active. The Ukrainian Air Force warned Telegram that supersonic anti-ship missiles had been launched in the direction of the Odessa region. She called on people to stay hidden. In the previous two nights, Russia had already carried out airstrikes in the Odessa region on the Black Sea.

Russia has been waging a war of aggression against neighboring Ukraine for almost 17 months. The southern regions on the Black Sea, which are of great importance for Ukraine due to their port infrastructure, are also repeatedly the target of Russian shelling. Millions of tons of food have been exported through the port of Odessa in recent months as part of the international grain agreement. On Monday, Russia withdrew from the agreement.
