Vienna tightened corona rules for young people

This school-age group should have to provide a 2.5G certificate by the end of the week. This means that from then on they have to be vaccinated, recovered or PCR-tested (valid for 48 hours).

In the nationwide regulation, the Ninja Pass (antigen test 48 hours, PCR 72 hours or recovered / vaccinated) applies to access to restaurants, cultural events, hairdressers or cable cars up to the age of 15.

Hacker justifies the measure with the fact that almost half of this group of 70,000 children in Vienna has already been vaccinated. With the remaining 36,500 you can catch up on the first stitch within three days.

According to the City Councilor for Health, this is important because the incidence is rising sharply among 12 to 15-year-olds and is already at 626. 400 children from this group would be infected anew every week. The vaccination of the younger children (five to twelve) is currently being prepared, with the doctors reducing the vaccination dose according to body weight.
