The Czech Republic and Hungary were also declared high-risk areas by Berlin, reported the Funke media group, according to Reuters. The classification should come into force on Sunday. Vaccinated and convalescent people do not have to be quarantined after returning from these countries, and unvaccinated people have to go to a ten-day quarantine after returning.
The quarantine should be ended after five days at the earliest with a negative corona test.
So far only the EU countries Slovakia, Lithuania, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia have been on the list of the Robert Koch Institute. The German Robert Koch Institute classifies countries and regions with a particularly high risk of infection as high-risk areas.
Only recently removed from the risk list
Up to now, a 3-G certificate was sufficient for entering Germany from Austria. In future there will be a registration and quarantine obligation. There is no quarantine requirement for vaccinated and convalescent people. In future, you will have to complete a digital entry registration before entering the country and upload your vaccination or recovery certificate. Confirmation of registration must be carried with you upon entry.
Austria was only removed from the German risk list five months ago – in June. Last autumn, the Federal Republic of Austria put the Austrian federal states one after the other on the risk list and finally, on November 1st, declared all of Austria – with the exception of Kleinwalsertal and Jungholz – a risk area.
