In Passau, an AfD man campaigned with a banned slogan. The posters have now been taken down and the AfD regional association has also gotten involved.
The police took down posters with a banned SA slogan in Passau. According to the police, these are AfD posters with the phrase “Everything for Germany” on them.
According to the Bavarian Information Center against Extremism, the banned slogan is a slogan of the SA, the storm department of the NSDAP, the use of which is punishable by law. The criminal police were called in, it was said.
The posters became known on Friday evening, the police said. A small number were seized that evening. The criminal police began the investigation in close coordination with the public prosecutor’s office. There is suspicion of criminally relevant content.
The state chairman of the AfD in Bavaria, Stephan Protschka, said the posters had not been approved by the state association and probably came from a local district council candidate. Protschka immediately called the district association chief and demanded that the posters be removed. “Something like that has no place in the AfD,” said Protschka.
You don’t have to put everything on the scales. “But there are certain sayings that are simply not used – and ‘Everything for Germany’ is one of them.”
