Malice for the CDU video: Several politicians saw the party’s new image clip as confusing the Reichstag building in Berlin with the Georgian presidential palace in Tbilisi. Both buildings have a glass dome that towers over a wide facade with columns. However, the building in the picture distributed by the CDU differs significantly in its facade. The dome also looks different.
The CDU published the video on Tuesday, among other things, on its profile at X. The party presented its new design that day with the three letters CDU in black on a light turquoise blue as the base color. The CDU initially did not comment on the malice about the video.
