For comparison: the seven-day incidence for the whole of Austria was 1107 on Tuesday. The group most affected after compulsory school age, the 35 to 44 year olds, had an incidence of 1,382. The seven-day incidence is also 1321 among adolescents between 15 and 24 years of age. 64 percent of them are vaccinated.

Vaccination approval expected

As soon as the recommendation of the National Vaccination Committee is available, vaccination appointments for children aged five to eleven can be booked in Upper Austria; pre-registrations are possible. The official approval of the Biontech / Pfizer vaccine for this age group by the European Medicines Agency, which should take place tomorrow, Thursday, is still pending. The approval of the EU Commission is a matter of form.
