Diary from Gaza: A Palestinian documents everyday war life

Ziad is a 35-year-old Palestinian from Gaza. A young man who is afraid of death under the bombardment. Who, in the midst of constant fear, also clings to small signs of hope. He wrote down his thoughts and experiences from three weeks of war for the stern.

“In twenty days I had to move three times with my sister and our pets. Since then we have been fleeing death, fear and insecurity. In short, I live in the Gaza Strip.”

This is how Ziad begins his email to star. To cope with the uncertainty, Ziad began writing down his thoughts on October seventh. It is a moving story: the war from the perspective of a person from Gaza who reflects on himself and the events.
