Middle East: Israel: Attacked 12,000 targets in Gaza since war began

According to the Israeli military, the targeted targets in the Gaza Strip included Hamas terrorists as well as weapons depots and rocket arsenals. Meanwhile, the number of deaths in the coastal area continues to rise.

The Israeli army says it has attacked more than 12,000 targets in the Gaza Strip since the start of the war. These included weapons depots, buildings of leading members of the Islamist Hamas, Hamas terrorists and rocket arsenals, army spokesman Daniel Hagari said on the X platform, formerly Twitter. On Wednesday, the military spoke of around 11,000 targets.

Since the war began on October 7, the army has always emphasized that it only attacks Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. However, the high number of civilian opera houses in the densely populated coastal area and the catastrophic situation for the residents are increasingly triggering international criticism of Israel’s actions. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejects a ceasefire or ceasefire.

Israel’s army has repeatedly called on residents of the northern Gaza Strip to seek safety in the south as it wants to fight Hamas facilities in the north. But there are also Israeli air strikes in the south.

Israel’s army has been bombing targets in the Gaza Strip since the Hamas massacres in Israel on October 7th. Meanwhile, Israeli ground troops are also advancing further into the coastal area. The number of Palestinians killed in the Gaza Strip since the start of the war had risen to 9,061 as of Thursday, according to the Hamas-controlled Health Ministry.
