As chairwoman of the Amadeu Antonio Foundation, Anetta Kahane fought against misanthropy of all kinds. Now she wonders where solidarity has gone in the face of the new wave of anti-Semitism.
Ms. Kahane, can you explain to us what anti-Semitism actually means?
Islamist and right-wing anti-Semites share their anti-Western, anti-democratic, anti-progressive worldviews. They are united by the desire for a homogeneous, contradictory and pre-modern society. What concerns me: How can Woke, anti-imperialists, members of the LGBTQI community, who have had to fight for their own rights for a long time and whom I have always supported, show solidarity with a society that they themselves are the first to oppress after the Jews? would even kill? That really touches me.
Through your work as long-time chairwoman of the Amadeu Antonio Foundation, you have fought for exactly these groups for a long time.
