Israel is once again calling on the civilian population in the north of the Gaza Strip to move to the south of the sealed-off coastal strip. But here too there are repeated air raids.
Israel’s army has once again given civilians in the embattled northern Gaza Strip a window of opportunity to flee to the south of the coastal area. The army announced on Platform X that the escape corridor would be open between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. local time (8 a.m. to 3 p.m. CET). In addition, any civilians stuck on the northern coast would be able to head east to the main Salah Al-Din road in the south between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. local time to move to the region south of Wadi Gaza.
In the southern city of Rafah, there will also be a humanitarian pause in fighting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time west of Salah Al-Din Street. All civilians who were prevented from fleeing by the terrorist organization Hamas could contact the Israeli army by telephone or via the Telegram platform, the tweet said in English and Arabic. The situation was particularly difficult for patients in hospitals in the north, who were unable to be transported due to the severity of their injuries or illnesses.
For weeks, Israel has been calling on civilians in the city of Gaza and in the north to move to the south of the sealed-off coastal strip for their own safety. But there were also several Israeli air strikes in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. According to the army, these were only targeted attacks on members of the Islamist Hamas. The information could not initially be independently verified.
