For months now, voices have been growing louder in Ukraine accusing Volodymyr Zelensky of an authoritarian leadership style. Mykola Kiazhytskyi from the opposition criticized the president for suppressing other opinions. The West must insist on democratic standards before it is too late.
Mykola Kniazhytskyi is one of the Ukrainian president’s loudest critics Volodymyr Selesnkyj. The 55-year-old has been a member of the Ukrainian parliament since 2012, most recently being elected on the list of ex-President Petro Poroshenko’s European Solidarity party. The journalist founded his own channel Espresso-TV in 2013, which can also be seen in Germany – but the program is no longer freely available in Ukraine.
