Even conservative newspapers did not skimp on their front pages with criticism. “One rule for them and new rules for the rest of us,” headlined the Daily Mail, alluding to stricter corona measures that the conservative head of government had announced the previous evening. Johnson apologized in parliament on Wednesday. Meanwhile, newspapers reported about further parties that were illegal under the Corona rules at the time in government buildings and even in the prime minister’s office at the end of last year.
