Boris Nadezhdin wants to run in the presidential election in Russia against Vladimir Putin – a man who is openly against the war. A classification.
Who is Boris Nadezhdin?
The 60-year-old politician is relatively unknown not only internationally but also in Russia, but that doesn’t mean he has no experience. The physicist has been active in Russian politics since the 1990s, working in the presidential administration and even becoming deputy prime minister. When President Boris Yeltsin appointed the then unknown Vladimir Putin as his successor in December 1999, Nadezhdin was a member of the state parliament.
