He mixes up the names, he forgets the dates. More and more Americans are wondering whether Joe Biden can manage another term in office – and are hoping for another candidate.
The day had started well for Joseph Robinette Biden, 81, on February 8, 2024, which in retrospect may mark the beginning of the end.
The focus that Thursday was once again on the problems of his rival Donald Trump, 77, and the question of whether the Supreme Court would even allow Trump to stand in the election. At around twelve o’clock, Biden received the good news that the Attorney General’s Office would not bring a criminal case in his own affair because of careless handling of secret files – unlike with Trump.
A good day, or so people in the White House thought.
