The newly founded Alliance Sahra Wagenknecht party wants to run for state elections in Thuringia. Now there is a date for the establishment of a regional association.
The Sahra Wagenknecht alliance wants to found a Thuringian regional association on March 15th. Co-chair Sahra Wagenknecht announced this on Friday in Erfurt. A board of directors will also be elected at the founding meeting in Eisenach. There will probably be a state party conference on May 4th, said the 54-year-old.
The newly founded party wants to prepare the election campaign for the state elections on September 1st in the Free State with an online campaign. “We don’t yet have an election program for Thuringia, we want to develop that together with the Thuringians,” said Wagenknecht. On a portal, people could weigh topics such as education, agriculture or climate protection and thus determine what is most important to them.
In addition, citizens should be able to suggest topics themselves. “These contributions will be incorporated into our election programs,” said Wagenknecht. The campaign is called “Plain text for Thuringia. Our country. Our issues. Our future.” The appearance in Erfurt was BSW’s first official press conference in Thuringia.
