The State Duma will consider a project on a monthly payment of 10 thousand rubles to families with children

Deputies of the Fair Russia – For Truth (SRZP) party have submitted to the State Duma a bill on monthly payments in the amount of 10 thousand rubles for each family member where children under 18 are brought up. The project was posted in the electronic database on Monday, December 20.

It is noted that this proposal was put forward in connection with the adoption of the Federal Law “On the basic income of families with children.”

“The draft federal law establishes the grounds and procedure for the appointment and implementation of monthly payments in connection with the birth (adoption) of the first and subsequent children in relation to each member of the family in which the child (children) is raised,” the explanatory note says.

The monthly income is proposed to be paid from January 1, 2022. At the same time, the authors of the initiative provided for the annual indexation of payments for the consumer price growth index.

As follows from the bill, 10 thousand per child is supposed to be paid until he turns 18. And the parents will be able to receive money until the youngest of the children reaches the age of majority.

According to the authors of the initiative, “the maximum number of citizens in respect of whom the measures projected by the bill will be implemented is up to 60 million people,” the total amount of maximum possible expenses will amount to 7.2 billion rubles per year.

Earlier, on December 11, it was reported that the Russian government allocated almost 14 billion rubles for payments for children from eight to 17 years old who grow up in single-parent families. Thus, more than 13.8 billion rubles will be allocated to the regions to pay these monthly benefits.

The Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) from July 1 began to accept applications for benefits to single-parent families with children from eight to 17 years old and pregnant women who were registered in the early stages of pregnancy. As clarified, the application can be submitted on the portal of public services or in the client service of the PFR at the place of residence.

The Ministry of Labor explained that payments for single parents are assigned to the only parent in cases where the second has died, gone missing, is not entered in the birth certificate, or is written in according to the mother’s words, or to the legal representative if the child is left without care due to the death of the parents. …
