The US Congress has finally approved billions in aid for Ukraine. But is that enough to stop the Russian troops? And do the Europeans have to follow suit now?
Mr. Lange, after six months of tough struggle, the USA has finally released $61 billion in aid money for the Ukraine Approved. Can the collapse of the country be prevented in this way?
It is really not so. Ukraine has opportunities, especially in the south and in Crimea, to put pressure on the Russians. This could be a way to ensure a real willingness to negotiate on the Russian side. That’s exactly what it’s all about. Putin will not see anything on his own or will say, “I’ve had enough,” without military pressure. You have to stop Putin. That is also in our interest. What I don’t understand: what are we waiting for? That a miracle will happen?
