Ramzan Kadyrov is a satisfied father. “Provocateurs and traitors” are like “sick tumors on the body,” he wrote in his Telegram channel last year. That’s why he’s proud of his son Adam: He had just beaten up the 19-year-old student Nikita Shurawel, even though he was sitting defenseless in a cell. The young man had set fire to a Koran in Volgograd, so the Russian authorities took him to Muslim Chechnya. The mob raged indignantly on the street. The president’s son was allowed to strike in a detention center.
