Peskov said that Putin has no plans to wish Biden a Merry Christmas

Russian President Vladimir Putin is not going to call his American counterpart Joe Biden on December 25 to wish him a Merry Christmas. This was announced on Friday, December 24, by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.

“No, there are no plans,” RT quotes him.

On December 23, Peskov commented on the possibility of a new meeting between Putin and Biden. According to him, it will depend on the Russian-American talks in Geneva, according to the Zvezda TV channel.

Earlier, on December 22, Peskov allowed talks between Russian and American leaders via video chat before the end of the year. He noted that remote communication between Putin and Biden can be promptly agreed upon if necessary, but there are no clear agreements on this matter yet, the NSN reports.

In December, Putin held secure communications with US President Joe Biden and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
