Reporter Pia Schrörs is for RTL at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. In an interview with “Today Important” presenter Michel Abdollahi, she explains what the atmosphere is like on site and which rules she has to adhere to.
“You don’t notice here that the Olympics are important,” says Pia Schrörs in “important today”. The Japanese are not very euphoric. On the contrary: “People really wanted to postpone it for another year.” But the competitions take place despite Corona, albeit without an audience.
App as a requirement for entry
Journalists are allowed to travel to Tokyo, but they have to meet strict requirements. “We were overwhelmed by a mass of documents,” says Pia Schrörs. Among other things, they need a tracking app on which they can be tracked permanently. That was a prerequisite for entry.
