The Israeli military says it has killed a Hezbollah commander in Lebanon. He was in charge of a department that was responsible for firing rockets at Israel, the military said. According to Israeli sources, he was one of the “most significant Hezbollah terrorists in southern Lebanon.”
Lebanese security sources said that another person was killed in the drone attack in Hosh near the coastal city of Tyre. According to Hezbollah, it was the commander’s bodyguard. Hezbollah confirmed the deaths of the two people without giving any further details. In response, the militia said it had fired 100 Katyusha rockets at Israeli targets in the Golan Heights.
Israel and the Lebanese Shiite militia Hezbollah have been fighting almost daily since the beginning of the Gaza war. Recently, the intensity of the fighting has increased significantly.
