Germany recently delivered three Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine. President Zelenskyj appreciates this.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for the delivery of air defense systems. “Thank you, Olaf, for the air defense,” Zelensky told Scholz at a meeting on the sidelines of the NATO summit.
Air defense systems are a focus of the military support that Germany has provided to Ukraine since the Russian attack in February 2022. Most recently, the Bundeswehr provided three Patriot air defense systems.
Scholz is also urging other allies to offer Ukraine further protection from Russian air strikes. “In my view, this process is not complete,” Scholz said before his meeting with Zelensky.
