US President Biden has been isolating himself with a corona infection in his private home far away from Washington for almost a week. Now his personal doctor has new information about his condition.
US President Joe Biden is on the road to recovery after his corona infection, according to his doctor. “His symptoms have almost completely resolved,” said Biden’s personal physician Kevin O’Connor in a letter published by the White House. His pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and temperature are still “absolutely normal.” His oxygen saturation in room air remains excellent, O’Connor said. “His lungs are still clear.”
Biden received his tenth dose of the Covid drug Paxlovid on Monday morning. The 81-year-old continues to perform all presidential duties, the doctor said. It remains unclear whether Biden will continue to test positive for the coronavirus. Biden has been isolating himself in his private home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, since last Wednesday. It is unclear when the US President will return to the White House in Washington.
This also means that it is unclear when and if Biden’s important appointments will take place this week. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has traveled to the US capital to give a speech to both chambers of Congress on Wednesday. He actually wanted to meet with Biden on Tuesday. The 81-year-old had also announced that he would explain his reasons for withdrawing from the US presidential race in more detail this week. There is no date for that yet either.
