First Markus Söder celebrates himself and his followers on Instagram with a kebab raffle, now he announces the great response with another competition.
CSU leader Markus Söder wants to go out for a kebab with 40 selected Instagram followers. “The #SöderKebab raffle is over, the interest was really huge! That’s why we’re going out for a kebab twice next week,” the Bavarian Prime Minister announced on his Instagram channel. “Spiegel Online” also reported on this.
Söder launched the campaign at the beginning of July as a thank you for his 500,000 followers on Instagram. As he now announced, almost 45,000 people had applied to eat a kebab. “I can’t do that even with the best will in the world, I don’t even know if there are that many kebabs in Bavaria at once,” he said. Therefore, 40 people were ultimately chosen who could now go out to eat with him, “I’m really looking forward to it.”
500 T-shirts to be raffled off
For those who didn’t win in the raffle, Söder now has another competition ready: “For everyone who unfortunately can’t be there, there’s something very special: 500 original Söder Kebab T-shirts!” The white T-shirts have “Söder Kebab” printed on them in red. You can wear them on vacation, sleep in them, “or you just look great in them.”
Those interested must register using a form provided specifically on the CSU homepage – among other things, they must also provide their Instagram or Tiktok username and their address.
Söder successful on Instagram
Compared to many other state and federal politicians, Söder is extraordinarily successful on social media, including with the hashtag #söderisst, with which he regularly posts his mostly hearty and meat-heavy meals.
Only a few days ago, the CSU announced that it wanted to significantly intensify its involvement in social networks. With around 69,000 followers, the party is still lagging far behind its leader in terms of online popularity.
