As soon as it became clear that Kamala Harris would be the Democratic presidential candidate, and the first wave of euphoria had swept over the party, the questions began to arise: Is America really ready for a woman in the White House? Can she stand up to Trump’s sexist battalion? Won’t she lose the crucial swing states because white men in the Rust Belt will never vote for a woman, let alone a black woman?
Really, America?
