Flavio Briatore is on a worldwide triumph with his luxury chain “Crazy Pizza”. But now he is venturing into tricky territory, into the home of pizza – Naples.
If the Neapolitans are proud of anything, it is their pizza. It is not only considered a sacred object in the city on Vesuvius, but it has also brought it from the poor south to become the symbol of Italy. But now the flamboyant entrepreneur Flavio Briatore, a native of faraway Piedmont, is coming to the home of the flatbread and wants to sell pizza to the Neapolitans. This summer, Briatore will open a branch of “Crazy Pizza” on the waterfront with a view of Vesuvius – which has the Neapolitans in a state of excitement.
