Chancellor Olaf Scholz has shown great respect for US presidential candidate Kamala Harris. “I know her well. She would certainly be a very good president,” said the SPD politician in the Sat.1 program “:newstime Spezial” entitled “Where is Germany?”, which is scheduled to be broadcast this evening.
When asked whether Harris would be a better choice for Germany as US President than her rival Donald Trump, Scholz did not comment. However, he did say: “Kamala Harris is a very good politician who will stick to what is important to us, with good cooperation across the Atlantic, between the US and Europe, between the US and Germany.”
