Rudy Giuliani was a staunch supporter of Donald Trump. He wanted to force his election victory in 2020 by any means possible. This is costing him dearly.
The economic situation is looking increasingly worse for New York’s former mayor Rudolph Giuliani. The former private lawyer of the former US president was already sentenced to pay damages of more than 148 million dollars (134 million euros) for defamation in December 2023. Two election workers sued Giuliani at the time over a video in which he falsely accused them of electoral fraud after the presidential election in November 2020.
Now the sum must be paid. Ruby F. and Shaye M. have obtained a court order requiring Giuliani to hand over several properties, various luxury watches, a high-quality vehicle and other personal items within the next few days.

Specifically, it concerns Giuliani’s condominium in New York’s upscale Manhattan district, which, according to CNN, has an estimated value of six million dollars (5.4 million euros), and a condominium in Palm Beach, in the US state of Florida, which is valued at 3.5 million dollars (3.2 million euros).
After the election, Giuliani falsely claimed that aides such as F. and M. had simply thrown away ballots containing votes for Trump. Fake ballots that allegedly contained votes for rival Joe Biden were also allegedly inserted into the count. F. and M. were targeted by Trump supporters because they were both seen in a video that was circulated to support the allegations.
Since the verdict, both plaintiffs are each entitled to around 37 million dollars (33 million euros) for defamation and its psychological consequences, as well as 75 million dollars (68 million euros) in damages.
