Russia reports that a woman has died because Ukraine attacked several regions with drones. However, most of the drones are said to have been shot down.
According to Russian sources, a woman was killed in the Moscow region in Ukrainian attacks with more than 140 drones. Regional governor Andrei Vorobyov said on Tuesday in the online service Telegram that the 46-year-old died after a drone hit a residential building in Ramenskoye on the southeastern outskirts of the capital. The death of a nine-year-old child, which he had previously reported, has not yet been confirmed, he added.
The Russian Defense Ministry said it shot down 144 Ukrainian drones on Tuesday night. 72 of them were shot down over the Briansk region bordering Ukraine, 20 over the Moscow region, 14 over the border region of Kursk, 13 over the central Tula region and 25 in five other parts of Russia.
Because of the attack, flights were canceled or postponed at four airports serving Moscow, according to Russian state media reports. These included the important air traffic hubs Domodevo and Sheremetyevo.

This is how Russian soldiers see the war in Kursk
Ukraine and Russia regularly attack each other with drones at night. But it is rare for Ukrainian drones to hit the Moscow region.
Russia “liberates” village
The day before the latest attack, Russia reported that it had captured another village near the strategically important city of Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine. The Russian army had “liberated” the village of Memryk, which is located around 20 kilometers from Pokrovsk, the Defense Ministry in Moscow said. Pokrovsk is an important logistics base for the Ukrainian army.
Ukraine launched an offensive in Kursk in August with the aim of forcing Russia to move its advancing troops in eastern Ukraine. But Moscow appears to be stepping up its attacks there and has also continued its own air strikes on Ukraine in recent weeks – including on important energy infrastructure ahead of winter.
