Prime Minister Wüst expresses relief: A Salafist hate preacher is in custody in Bonn.
An Islamist has been taken into custody pending deportation in Bonn. “The person in question is a citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, so he will be deported there,” the city of Bonn announced. “In the opinion of the authorities involved, the person in question’s behavior endangers the free democratic basic order and internal security of the Federal Republic of Germany.” The man is said to have spread hate propaganda on the Internet, among other things. According to the police and the city of Bonn, he was taken into custody on Tuesday.
North Rhine-Westphalia’s Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (CDU) said in Düsseldorf: “I am sure that many people reacted with relief to the news that the State Security Service and the Bonn Immigration Office had succeeded in arresting an Islamist hate preacher in deportation detention.”
According to Interior Minister Herbert Reul (CDU), the man is a “well-known Salafist hate preacher from Bonn who is now being deported.” The “Bild” newspaper reported.
