Trump and Harris then met for a live television debate on Tuesday evening. In a Reuters/Ipsos poll on Thursday, a majority of respondents said Harris had won the TV duel.
Immediately after the duel, Harris’ team immediately agreed to a second debate in October. After Trump’s cancellation, Harris upped the ante and wrote on X: “We owe it to the voters to have another debate.”
