In 2022, municipalities will be exempted from paying for gas supplied to Eternal Lights. Andrei Turchak, secretary of the General Council of the party, spoke about the president’s support for this United Russia initiative in an interview with Izvestiya.
“Unfortunately, we witnessed the fact that in 2021, and in 2020, and in previous years, due to non-payment or delay, the Eternal Lights went out. 80% of our Eternal Lights are supplied by PJSC Gazprom. And 20% – by independent gas suppliers. On January 12, United Russia made a proposal to zero the gas rate supplied for Eternal Lights. The President supported this initiative. And the municipalities will be exempted from paying for the gas supplied to the Eternal Lights. This will happen this year.
According to the interlocutor of the publication, 80% of the Eternal Lights are supplied by PJSC Gazprom, 20% – by independent gas suppliers,” Andrey Turchak said.
