The Israeli military has been shelling targets in Lebanon for days. While the army calls for further evacuations, suburbs of Beirut and the capital itself are under attack.
The Israeli military says it has once again fired on a target in the Lebanese capital Beirut. It spoke of a targeted attack, but initially did not provide any further details.
Eyewitnesses in Beirut reported several attacks in a southern suburb of the city. Sounds of explosions could be heard throughout Beirut. Videos on social media showed thick clouds of smoke rising into the sky. Residents reported drones and fighter jets continuing to move over the city after the attacks.
According to authorities, there was also an attack in Beirut’s Basta-Bachoura district. At least six people were killed and seven others injured, the Ministry of Health announced. Initial reports indicate an apartment in a building was hit.
The Israeli military once again called on people in the Beirut suburbs to flee. This is usually followed by Israeli attacks.
