Israel’s military is once again shelling targets in the neighboring country, including a municipal building that is said to have been used by Hezbollah. Projectiles are also flying at Israel again from Lebanon.
According to the army, Israel’s air force has attacked around 200 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. These included weapons depots and observation posts for the Iranian-backed militia.
The Israeli military said it also killed around 15 militia members in an attack on a municipal building in a village in southern Lebanon. There was initially no confirmation of this from Lebanon. However, the state news agency NNA reported Israeli attacks on the site without giving details.
The Shiite organization used the community building in Bint Jubail and also stored weapons there, the Israeli army said. “The terrorist organization Hezbollah systematically violates international law by brutally exploiting government and civilian buildings and the population as human shields for terrorist activities.”
The information could not initially be independently verified.
Israel’s army had previously announced that around 25 bullets had been registered from Lebanon in the morning. There were rocket alarms again in many places in northern Israel.
