The horrifying images went around the world. A rocket from Lebanon hit a soccer field with Israeli children and young people in July. Now the revenge came.
The Israeli army says it has killed the Hezbollah commander under whose command a rocket was fired at a soccer field in Israel in July. Twelve young people lost their lives on July 27th in the town of Majdal Shams on the Golan Heights annexed by Israel.
Chider al-Shabia was killed in a targeted airstrike in Lebanon on Wednesday, the army added. He was the commander in the Lebanese area bordering the Golan Heights. He also ordered hundreds of rocket attacks on Israel.
Hezbollah has been attacking Israel with rockets and grenades since the terrorist attack by Hamas and other extremist groups on the south of Israel almost a year ago, out of “solidarity” with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, as it claims. Israel has now launched a ground offensive against the Shiite militia.
