Israel continues to carry out massive air strikes on Hezbollah and has launched a ground offensive. But rocket attacks from the neighboring country to the north are increasing.
Israel has once again received massive rocket fire from Lebanon. Within one day, around 230 projectiles and several drones were counted that were fired by the Shiite militia Hezbollah into northern Israel, the Israeli army said. The previous day the number of such attacks was 140.
In many towns the air alarm sirens continued to sound. Some of the projectiles were intercepted, others fell over uninhabited areas. Initially, nothing was reported about possible victims or major damage.
Israel’s stated goal is to drive the Shiite militia Hezbollah from the border so that around 60,000 evacuated Israelis can return to their homes.
The Israeli army, for its part, continued the massive air strikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon that began at the beginning of last week, some of them in residential areas. The army said 15 terrorist targets were attacked in the capital Beirut. It was initially not known how many victims there were.
