The Lebanese Hezbollah and Israel have been shelling each other almost daily for a year. According to authorities, more than 2,000 people have been killed in Lebanon so far and over 10,000 have been injured.
According to authorities, at least 36 people were killed in Israeli attacks in Lebanon on Tuesday. The Lebanese Ministry of Health said 150 other people were injured. This means that at least 2,119 people have been killed and 10,019 others injured since fighting broke out between Hezbollah and the Israeli military a year ago (October 8, 2023), authorities said. The ministry does not distinguish between civilians and Hezbollah fighters.
On Tuesday alone, the caretaker government’s emergency committee registered a total of 137 Israeli air strikes in Lebanon.
The Israeli army had previously announced that a total of 180 projectiles had been registered from Lebanon on Tuesday, which were aimed at targets in northern Israel and especially in Haifa. Most of the projectiles were intercepted, but some also landed in the suburbs of Israel’s most important port city. A woman in Haifa was slightly injured.
