The conservative broadcaster Fox News’ interview with Democrat Harris has been eagerly awaited. The conversation gets straight to the point right at the beginning.
The conservative broadcaster Fox News’ interview with Democratic US presidential candidate Kamala Harris began with a heated exchange on the subject of migration. Harris was interrupted several times by moderator Bret Baier. “May I finish my answer?” Harris said again and again while Baier interrupted her. It is right that the American people want to have a discussion about migration before the election, said the 59-year-old. But what people didn’t want were “political games,” said Harris, referring to her Republican rival Donald Trump.
Baier asked Harris if she owed an apology to the families of women murdered by migrants. “First of all, let me say that these are tragic cases. There is no doubt about that,” responded US Vice President Harris. “I cannot imagine the pain that the families of these victims have suffered from a loss that should not have occurred.” The US migration system has been broken for a long time. Congress is responsible for fixing it, Harris said.
It is Harris’ first major television interview with a conservative media outlet since she was officially named the Democratic nominee in August.
