Will North Koreans soon be fighting in Donbass? An expert classifies the situation

South Korean intelligence warns that North Korea is sending 12,000 soldiers to Ukraine. An expert explains the dangerous friendship between Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un.

Mr. Tertizkij, six North Korean officers are said to have recently died in a Ukrainian rocket attack in eastern Ukraine, not far from Donetsk. What is known about it?
Not much. As far as I understand, there are currently instructors from North Korea serving in the Russian army. They are believed to be helping to deploy North Korean artillery shells and missiles that Pyongyang is supplying to Russia for the war in Ukraine. They differ slightly from Russian weapons. At the same time, the North Koreans should apparently learn from the Russians. Such operations by the North Koreans have happened before, but not in Russia. North Korea, for example, has sent military personnel to Zimbabwe.

According to Ukrainian intelligence information, several thousand North Korean soldiers are already deployed at the front.
That is certainly not the case at the moment. If so many men were already deployed, we would probably know this. The soldiers ultimately have to cross the Russian-North Korean border, either by train or by sea. Then they have to be brought from the Russian Far East to the front in Ukraine. This is difficult to hide.

South Korean intelligence reported on Friday that North Korea would send 12,000 soldiers. They are allegedly given Russian uniforms and fake Russian passports. How likely is such an operation in the coming weeks?
