It was supposed to be the “rally of the century”. But Donald Trump’s rally in New York’s Madison Square Garden became: a series of insults.
More than four hours before Donald Trump was set to begin his speech Sunday night in New York City, one person came on stage that would set the tone for the evening, and it wasn’t a good one.
The man’s name is Tony Hinchcliffe, he makes his living as a comedian, and he was the first speaker at Trump’s big election rally in the famous Madison Square Garden. The place where Elvis Presley recorded a live album in the 1970s and Muhammad Ali lost a boxing match that is still considered the fight of the century. Hinchcliffe said, “There’s literally an island of garbage floating in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”
