USA: Ex-White House spokeswoman promotes “Trump vaccine”

Sarah Huckabee Sanders wants to become governor of Arkansas. In the election campaign, the former Trump spokeswoman is now promoting the vaccination in a bizarre way. Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has announced new measures against the sluggish vaccination campaign.

In the USA, there is a race between the increasing numbers of infections and the stagnating vaccinations. Even more and more Republicans are now publicly promoting getting vaccinated. For example, the former White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders has urged people to trust the “Trump vaccine” she baptized.

Sanders worked for the then US President Donald Trump from July 2017 to the end of June 2019 – and was considered one of his most loyal employees. Back then she was repeatedly criticized for spreading Trump’s untruths. Now she wants to be the next governor of Arkansas.

Sanders: “It’s clear the Trump vaccine works”

Sanders has now written one entitled “The Reasons for the Vaccination”. She also used the post to criticize the US Democrats, the media and top virologist Anthony Fauci.

In the pandemic, she “was hurled a lot of misinformation by politicians and the media,” she wrote. It was the same for many Americans. She did not say a word about the fact that her former boss in particular had spread a lot of false information – such as that disinfectants or “ultraviolet or just strong light” could help against the virus. Instead, Sanders wrote that it was “Dr. Fauci and the ‘because science says it so’ ‘crowd of arrogant, condescending politicians and bureaucrats” who were wrong with their shutdowns, among other things. These would have caused immeasurable damage to the population and the economy.

“Trump Vaccine Works and Saves Lives”

In the article, Sanders addressed everyone “still weighing the benefits of vaccination.” She advised them, “Pray, discuss it with your family and your doctor.” One should “block out the noise and scare-mongering and condescension” – and then make the best and most informed decision. After consulting her doctor, she herself decided that the benefits of vaccination outweigh any potential risks. “It’s clear the Trump vaccine works and saves lives.”

Biden announces new vaccination measures

US President Joe Biden also stated emphatically that the US had to “get better” with the vaccination campaign. In the fight against the increasing number of infections, he announced new measures to increase the vaccination rate again. A vaccination requirement, which has already been much debated, is being “considered” for the country’s more than two million federal employees, Biden told the secret services.

The city of New York and the state of California have already set an example in the heated debate. They announced that public service workers will either have to be vaccinated or have weekly corona tests. In addition, the US health authority CDC recommends that vaccinated people wear masks again. The authorities said that they should wear mouth and nose protection indoors in high-risk areas.

In the US, the most recent seven-day average of new infections every day is more than 56,000 – similar to the last time in April. More than 610,000 Americans have died as a result of corona infection so far.
