Elon Musk mocks Chancellor Olaf Scholz as a “fool”
Elon Musk, billionaire and Trump supporter, is known as an online provocateur. Now Olaf Scholz also gets a casual broadside. Why remains unclear.
Tech billionaire and Trump supporter Elon Musk gives his two cents on the German government crisis. “Olaf is a fool,” Musk wrote in German on his online platform Musk later confirmed that he did mean Chancellor Olaf Scholz. But he did not comment on why he thinks Scholz is a fool.
Musk is likely to benefit from Trump’s renewed presidency
Musk, the richest person in the world, is firmly on the political positions of the American right and has supported Donald Trump’s election campaign in recent months. With his return to the White House, Musk is likely to have more influence on the American government. Trump promised to entrust Musk with reducing government spending. At the same time, two companies led by Musk – the electric car maker Tesla and the space company SpaceX – could benefit from American government spending in the future. Tesla is also a major investor in Germany with its European car factory in Grünheide near Berlin.
