Why the polls underestimated Donald Trump again
Copy the current link
The polls predicted a neck-and-neck race. In the end it was a clear victory for Donald Trump. Why were the polls wrong again?
The polls had predicted an election crime. Political experts and pollsters had assumed that it could take days, if not weeks, to determine a winner in the presidential election. That didn’t happen.
Instead, Donald Trump scored a resounding victory by defeating Kamala Harris in crucial swing states. His historic comeback is part of a broad American shift to the right: Republicans have taken control of the Senate and have a good chance of retaining their majority in the House of Representatives. The counting is still ongoing here (as of Wednesday, November 7th).
