Former Justice Minister Buschmann has been making music for years – and publishing it on the Internet. After the end of the traffic light coalition, he has now composed a new song: “Walk to stand”.
Former Federal Justice Minister Marco Buschmann (FDP) said goodbye to the failed traffic light coalition with a self-composed song. The instrumental song entitled “Going to Stand” can be found on Buschmann’s profile on the online music platform Soundcloud. It is tagged with the hashtag “Farewell” and the note: “Sometimes you have to give up something you love to stay who you are. You have to go to stand.”
Buschmann has been active on Soundcloud for ten years. He has released more than 50 tracks there, mostly electronic music, under the profile name MBSounds. His three and a half minute long traffic light farewell song “Going to Stand” now comes across as solemn – Gregorian chants, strings and keyboard chords cumulate in a guitar solo, which is finally picked up by reverberating beats before ending in quiet piano playing.
The response was initially manageable – the track was accessed around 8,000 times within one day. Soundcloud users reacted mixedly to the FDP politician’s publication: the ratings in the comments fluctuated between “real knocker” and “absolutely ridiculous”.
